Describe the features of the Indus Valley Civilization (Harappan Civilization).
The following features of the Indus Valley Civilization or Aryan pre-Indian civilization have been mentioned by historians-
(i) This civilization was an urban civilization. The city-planning of this civilizational period was of a very high order and advanced. There were many cities with facilities and arrangements similar to modern city systems.
(ii) The people of this civilizational period were fun-loving. Various forms of entertainment and sports and prodigies were an indispensable part of his life.
(ii) The people of this period were Mother Shakti, Prakriti, Pashupati Mahadev and Linga-worshippers.
(iv) This civilization is one of the oldest civilizations in the world.
(v) The democratic system was probably prevalent during this civilizational period.
(vi) The society of this civilization period was very happy-prosperous and peaceful.
(vii) The art of some sculptures of Harappan or Indus civilization is as excellent as the art of Greece. The craftsmen here knew how to make bronze idols. They also knew how to make a variety of tools and weapons. He was very skilled and skillful in the art of building, making sculptures and gems.
(vii) The civilization of the Indus Valley is in many ways one of the greatest contributions to world civilization.
